Hi Gardeners! Just a reminder that our next work day is this Sunday, July 7 beginning at 3 pm. We have lots to do with harvesting & weeding so we hope you can come by for a little bit.
A few other notes since it’s been awhile since our last work day.
1. Watering – with the heat we’ve had the last two weeks it’d be great if you can give the community plots a blast of water when you’re at the garden to water your own plots. Understand it can be a bit of a drain on water pressure but it’s usually not too bad if you turn on one community plot at a time.
2. Harvesting – when you’re at the garden please feel free to harvest what you see in the community plots for donation to Silver Crest. They’re loving the veggies this year so let’s keep them coming. Anyone can drop off but it’s easiest to deliver between 8-5 on weekdays since that’s when there is office staff available to answer the door. We’re checking into whether we can drop off over the weekend as well and will send an update when we have more information.
Right now there should be green beans, summer squash, chard, beets, cucumbers, onions, and possibly tomatoes to harvest so keep your eye out!
